Those two magic words was all it took to make me jump out of bed and rush to the window to look outside and see all the snow we'd gotten overnight. My dad was a teacher, so we would get word before the rest of my friends if school was closed. This morning Marcy came down to my room and told me that most all the school districts had canceled school due to the freezing temps and snow.
I haven't blogged in a LONG TIME, so I thought I would. My life is good. Busy, but good. I have a wonderful boyfriend, school is amazing, and work couldn't be better. I'm grateful for the things I have and for the people in my life. Although I'm ready for spring, I think a snow day is just what I needed.

Baby It's Cold Outside
Well, it looks like winter has officially arrived. I really do like the snow. I think it's beautiful. It also helps me get in the Christmas spirit. It's much easier to decorate for Christmas and listen to Christmas music when it's snowing outside. It's just my 45 minute commute to work that makes me not like the snow as much. I'm excited for Christmas because Dad & Linda will be home from Egypt for a few days, and Joe & Kate will be here!!! I love when family comes home for the holidays! It will also be Joe's first experience with snow, so that should be entertaining. Well, that's all for now.

Bear Lake, Mt. Spokane, and fun!
Lots of pictures!!!
I love the crisp fall air! There's something really refreshing about it. I've really been trying to take advantage of the good weather while it lasts, so just about every day I pack up Madison and Jake and we go down to Bear Lake. It's great because it's only about 10 minutes away, and it's never crowded, and I get my exercise in. It has a paved trail around the entire lake, and each lap is 1.2 miles, so I usually try to walk 3 laps, and hey...that's 3.6 miles! The kids usually stay entertained by each other, and after I've gotten my exercise in, there's a great playground they love to play on. I've sorta kicked myself for not going down there more this summer when it was actually really warm. Oh well, there's always next year.
My sister Martonne was in town for about a week so we decided to take the kids to Mt. Spokane. Both of us couldn't remember the last time we had been up there. The drive up is a little sketchy (no guardrails at times) and if it freaks me out a little on dry pavement, I can't imagine driving up there to ski. It was a beautiful day so we packed a lunch and explored.
School is going great! I am getting more and more confident every day. I have such great Learning Leaders and fellow Future Professionals! It really is a great school.
